Corrugated pipes
What are corrugated pipes, what are they for, what types are they and what properties do they have.
Corrugated pipes are designed for the installation of electrical cables in them and are gray plastic pipe channels with a high degree of flexibility, which allows you to completely get rid of additional fittings. Corrugated pipes are used in the installation of new cable systems or in the repair and reconstruction of old ones.
Corrugated pipes are designed for long-term use and can be used in homes, offices and manufacturing. The pipes can be used for laying any cables: electric, television and telephone, which provides a high degree of protection against mechanical loads.
The industry produces corrugated pipes with a diameter of 16-63 mm and with different wall thicknesses for different types of loads.
A wide range of accessories is also produced for corrugated pipes. To quickly stretch and replace the old cable, use a steel shield.
A lightweight version of corrugated pipes is produced for use in conditions where it is important to place and protect cables inside buildings as compactly as possible.Corrugated pipes are excellent for use in raised floors and ceilings and are an excellent alternative to conventional ductwork.
The most durable PVC corrugated pipes are designed for use in harsh conditions. They are laid in the floor under the concrete layer, underground and in places with heavy loads.
The inner surface of the tubes is smooth, which makes it easier to pull the electrical cables, and the outer corrugated surface takes the load well.
Currently, the industry produces several types of corrugated pipes, depending on the material used: PVC (non-flammable pipes), HDPE (low-flammable material), composite HDPE.
The main advantages of corrugated pipes include:
1. Protection against electric shock in case of damaged cable insulation;
2. Mechanical resistance to damage, which guarantees the continuity and safety of the electrical network;
3. Reduced installation and cabling time by three times. This is achieved by the fact that a stretcher (metal cable) is installed inside the corrugated pipe at the stage of its production, which makes it possible to use a cable in the installation of pipes to connect with the ends of the cable on both sides of the pipe;
4. The non-flammability of PVC corrugated pipes resists cable fire and prevents the fire from spreading through the pipe and cable;
5. The corrugated tube is packed in small cellophane compartments of sizes 100, 50 and 25 cm, which protects it from dust, dirt and moisture without losing its presentation and service qualities;
6. Compared with other types of protective devices, it is much lighter, more convenient and easier to transport and store, does not require any welding or cutting, does not require grounding, does not corrode.
