Pipe cutters for manual pipe cutting
Pipe cutters are used for all types of flexible and rigid pipes. Pipe cutters can be manual or mechanized. Flexible pipes used for construction, industrial, scientific and other purposes are made of PVC, polyurethane, silicone, rubber, vinyl, polystyrene, polyethylene, nylon and other materials.
To cut pipes from these materials, you can use manual pipe cutters, their application is also possible for pipes made of soft metals (aluminum, brass, copper, etc.). High torque manual pipe cutting models can handle steel and cast iron.
Tools for manual pipe cutting can be of various types: in the form of hand shears or a wrench, a tool for cutting wires and cables, a clamping type. The main types of manual pipe cutters are:
1. Ratchet-type pipe cutters. Used for cutting 1-5/8 inch diameter rubber hoses and PVC pipes. Cutting is done by pressing with one hand. The steel blade of the pipe cutter is heat treated during the manufacture of the tool, it has a lock for safe storage when closed.Due to their small size, these pipe cutters are only used for small diameter pipes.
2. Spring type pipe cutters. Such pipe cutters have a more powerful cutter, which allows them to be used for cutting metal pipes. These tools often look like clamps. Pipe cutters are ideal for cutting PVC, polyurethane and annealed copper pipes 3/8 «- 2». The blade is made of high quality stainless steel.
3. Mounted type pipe cutters develop high torque and can be used to cut hard metals such as steel and cast iron, pipe diameters up to 4-6 inches. The pipe is clamped between the upper and lower jaws of the tool, and cutting is done by making a left-right oscillating motion and tightening the screw to deepen the cutting edges into the pipe body.
4. Heavy duty pipe cutters. It is used for thick-walled pipes, including when laying underground pipelines. Cuts cast iron and concrete sewer pipes up to 6 inches in diameter.
5. Pipe cutters for cable ducts. Such pipe cutters allow cutting PVC pipes with a diameter of 3-42 mm without damaging the wiring or cable inside the channel. The cut is clean, without serrations.
6. Pipe cutters with closed screw feed and split rolls. The closed screw feed serves to eliminate blockages and seizures. Cutting is done with a rotating blade that can be easily changed. Cuts copper, aluminum tubing, cable ducts up to 2 3/8" in diameter.
7. Pipe cutters with telescopic handle. These pipe cutters work with flexible and metal pipes and are ideal for use in confined spaces, confined spaces. The range of processing tubes is ¼ ... 2 3/8 inches.
8.Pipe cutters for cutting square pipes. This tool features square guides that ensure an even cut. Cuts square tubing up to 2 inches in diameter.
Pipe cutters can also have special features such as special guides, lubrication device, blade sharpener, spare cutting disc and more.
