Electrician's tool. Screwdriver
Screwdriver - a tool for tightening and loosening screws, screws, round nuts, etc. Screwdrivers of various types consists of a steel rod and handle. The blade usually ends with a tip in the form of a spatula, it can be either tetrahedral or even hexagonal, but they are used in specific cases and we will not talk about them.
In order not to damage the surface of parts and mechanisms, the blade of a screwdriver is usually dulled. The thickness of the blade should correspond to the width of the edges of the slot of the workpiece, on which the force is applied with a screwdriver. If you do not have a suitable screwdriver due to the fact that the width of the slot of the workpiece does not correspond to the width of the screwdriver, then such a screwdriver can be sharpened a little from the edges.
Screwdrivers are made of steel grades of various brands, carbon additives and other impurities that increase the strength of the metal allow the screwdriver to be a fairly durable tool.
The screwdriver blades are:
1. straight barrel-shaped;
2. with parallel planes;
3.Wedge for cap screws, etc.;
4. Wedge shape for round nuts.
It is easiest to unscrew or turn the fastener if the width of the screwdriver blade corresponds to the length of the slot of this fastener. If the blade has a screwdriver that is broken or chipped, it is best to sharpen it. Below is a recommended ratio of screwdriver and fasteners.

A Phillips screwdriver can transmit more force when loosening or tightening a nut than a conventional flat blade screwdriver. In its absence, it is often possible to replace the "ordinary" with flat blades. If the screwdriver is broken, it can be repaired. True, for this you have to work a little, cutting off the broken tip. Clamp it in a vise and use a triangular file and hacksaw to carve out a new tip. When making a screwdriver, check it against the screw or the tip of another screwdriver. A four-sided screwdriver can also be made from an ordinary nail, after which it must be hardened. If the screw or screw slot is worn, it can be recut.
