Installation of ceiling lamps

Installation of ceiling lampsSuspended ceilings are ubiquitous today, and these contemporary designs require the same modern approach to installing lighting fixtures that are typically found on the ceiling. Artificial light sources must provide good visibility, as well as meet hygienic and aesthetic standards.

There are several types of lighting: local, general and combined. To access light in all areas of the room, general lighting is used, which is most often provided by chandeliers on the ceiling. Local lighting is necessary to provide light to individual areas. Sources of local lighting are sconces and floor lamps. Combined lighting involves combining these two types.

Ceiling light fixtures can be suspended or recessed accordingly and the installation of such light fixtures will differ. Suspended lighting fixtures are installed either in specially designed niches for suspended ceilings or on hooks installed in the ceiling.Spotlights are installed in suspended ceiling panels, and in some cases, when used as additional lighting, they can be built into shelves, shelves, furniture, walls and even floors. If the lighting fixtures are installed on stretch ceilings, special fasteners or fittings fixed to the ceiling are used for their installation. In this case, the lighting fixtures are installed at the last stage of ceiling installation.

Floodlights can be enclosed in a metal, glass, brass or thermoplastic housing. Recessed light fixtures are manufactured for either halogen lamps or incandescent lamps. But most often, mirror lamps are used in ceiling spotlights, which not only provide more intense lighting, but also protect the entire lighting structure from overheating.

For easier maintenance and greater safety, floodlights are placed wherever possible in the least safe and easily accessible locations. Floodlights are also produced in a special waterproof version — such lighting sources are widely used for installation in rooms with high humidity — bathrooms, saunas, swimming pools. Such lighting fixtures are protected with silicone seals and glass, which protects it from moisture. There are designs of built-in lighting fixtures that allow you to direct light streams in different directions and thus create original lighting effects in the interior.
