Domestic and foreign manufacturers produce dozens of types of lighting equipment using inflatable light diffuser. They differ in their main purpose, device and technical characteristics. So there are illuminators in the form of a glowing ball or plate mounted on a telescopic mast, illuminators in the form of a ball suspended from tall buildings and even in the form of a glowing flying ball filled with helium.

However, the name «Light Tower» is a registered trade name of a lighting installation of one of the Russian manufacturers.The emergency lighting system «Light Tower» is designed specifically for the needs of emergency services, it can be used in all climatic zones of Russia, under any weather conditions. The illuminated area is up to 20,000 square meters.

In transport position, the unit together with the generator has dimensions (mm) — 650x450x800. The weight, depending on the configuration, varies from 23 to 62 kilograms. Installation of a pair of wheels for transport is provided.

Installation models differ:

• the power of the gasoline generator used is 2.2 kW and 2.7 kW with a fuel consumption of 1 liter and about 1.2 liters per hour respectively. In addition, all models can be powered by an external power source. Light models are available with external power only;

• the height of the illuminator. The tower can be of fixed height — 5 or 7 meters and can be transformed to a height of 3 to 5 meters, from 5 to 7 meters. For greater wind resistance, stretch marks can be used, then the structure is able to withstand weak wind gusts of 20 m / s.

• the number and power of lighting lamps: one or two lamps with a power of 600 or 1000 watts;

The emergency lighting installation is compact, easily transported in the trunk of a car, operated by one person within one minute, does not require a qualified specialist for operation. Recent improvements to the device have reduced its weight to 11 kilograms with a reduction in overall dimensions, and the device has also received a modular design with reduced power consumption.
