Submersible pumps: what they are and how they differ

Submersible pumps and water supply stations

Submersible pumps: what they are and how they differA submersible pump is a type of pumping device that operates when submerged below the level of the liquid to be pumped. They are used in a wide variety of areas of human activity: for pumping water from wells and wells, for pumping feces, for extracting minerals in a liquid aggregate state.

There are the following types of submersible pumps:

Barrel.

This variety is mainly used in garden plots and summer cottages. They are used for irrigation directly from the tank (barrel), where the pump is fixed on the side. It connects directly to the irrigation hose, making gardening extremely easy. Do not think that the range of the cylinder pump is limited to watering from a garden barrel, it can raise liquid from a depth of up to 8 m.

Pressure.
This type is used to deliver water from great depths. They can be used both for lifting liquids from great depths and for working at low levels.Pumps intended for work in wells have a casing of small diameter, made of durable material that does not corrode, and a sufficiently large capacity.

Garden irrigation pumps.
They are known to many. These devices are used to pump water from open tanks, wells, bulk tanks. They have high productivity and are able to create enough water pressure for the operation of irrigation systems.

Drainage submersible pumps.
This type is designed to pump even polluted water, is not clogged with fine particles and sand, and can be used to pump water from silted wells, lakes, etc.

Fecal pump.
Its purpose is clear from the name. Such a device can pass even larger particles than the drain pump, and this type of pump is also characterized by long-term operation without overheating.

Water supply stations are used to supply water to residential buildings. Such a station consists of a pump and a control unit. Such stations are used both for pumping water from wells and wells, as well as for increasing the water pressure in the house if its level in the water supply system is not high enough to ensure the operation of household appliances, for example a washing machine or dishwasher. A powerful pump, which is the basis of a water supply station, raises water from almost any depth, and a pressure switch provides the necessary level of pressure.
