MK switches

Small switches of the MK series are designed for use in control, signaling and automation switches of direct and alternating current with a voltage of up to 220 V.

Switches consist of a set of contact packs and a switching mechanism. Through all the contact packs and the switching mechanism there is a square axis that is connected to the handle. Each contact pack consists of a plastic contact holder in which fixed contacts are mounted and a movable contact mounted on the axle. The movable contact can have different shapes and can be mounted on the axle in different ways. By combining different types of movable contacts and their positions along the axis, it is possible to provide the necessary order of connection of the fixed contacts and the necessary circuit of the switch.

Switches of the MK series are produced depending on the device and the nature of the handle of the following types:

• MKSVF — with a signal lamp built into the handle, fixing the handle in two mutually perpendicular positions and independent return of the handle from two working positions to a stationary one,

• MKVF — with fixing of the handle in two mutually perpendicular positions and self-return of the handle from two working positions in fixed,

• MKF — with fixing the handle in four or eight specific positions with a handle rotation angle of 90 or 45 °, respectively,

• MKV — with independent return of the handle to the neutral position,

• MKFz-with a handle-lock and a movable key-handle with fixation in four or eight specific positions with a handle rotation angle of 90 or 45 ° respectively.

All MK series switches, except type MKSVF, are manufactured with two, four and six contact packages. In switches of the MKSVF type, the first package is occupied by the contacts of the signal lamp, and the switch has one, three or five contact packages.

The connection scheme and the closing scheme of the switch contacts vary depending on the shape and combination of types of movable contacts in the package (Fig. 1).

The type designation of MK series switches consists of the type of switch, the number of packages and the type of moving contacts in them, the type of handle and the type of fixing of the handle, for example, MKSVF-L, 1, 4, 4 , 6, 6a / M1- six-pack MKSVF switch with contacts for the signal lamp in the first package and removable contacts of types 1, 4, 4, 6, 6a in the remaining packages with a handle type M1 with a built-in signal lamp.

The connection of wires to the terminals of the fixed packages of the MK switches is carried out by soldering. Switches of the MK series have small overall dimensions and weight (Fig.2), which allows better positioning of the switches on the panel and makes their installation more convenient.
