How to fix a broken cable

What is the easiest way to detect a broken cable? It is necessary to bend the wire along its entire length. At the break point, the wire has less resistance. If only one wire of the two-wire patch cord is broken and the location is closer to the plug, the easiest way is to cut the second wire in the same place and connect the plug to the shorted wire.

If the cable is broken in the middle, then you need to remove only one wire from the insulation and try to connect it. If this cannot be done, cut the second wire and then connect the two wires of the cable.
