What to do if the light goes out and the apartment is disconnected
First of all, you need to understand under what circumstances this happened. If, for example, the light goes out when the device is turned on, then the cause is most likely in the device. The device should be turned off immediately and not turned on again without checking. If this happened when the chandelier was turned on, most often the lamp burned out and the plug was pulled from the mains.
If the reason for the unplugging is still unknown, unplug all outlets and turn the switches to another position. With these actions, you should exclude the area with damaged insulation.
Given the presence of protective zones, find out which plugs have burned out (which circuit breakers have tripped). In this case, one should be guided by the following considerations.
Trip fuse: 1 — ceramic base, 2 — ceramic part of the fuse, 3 — fusible wire, 4 — bottom contact
Here it is written in detail how other fuses are arranged: Types and constructions of fuses.
1.If there are several groups in the apartment, but not all the lamps have gone out, but only the lamps belonging to the same group, then there is no need to touch the plugs on the stairs - they are probably intact.
2. If there are several groups in the apartment and everything has gone out, it has nothing to do with congestion in the apartment, but you should look for it on the stairs or at the beginning of the riser. And also find out where exactly? To do this, you need to know if the light works in other apartments that are powered by the same phase of the riser. If it works, search on your site. If the lights went out in several apartments, the problem is the fuses at the beginning of the riser.
Attention! In stairwells, in no case should you check the fuses with a pilot lamp, because it is easy to get into a "foreign" phase, and the voltage between the phases is 380 V (in the network 380/220 V), i.e. significantly higher than between phase and zero (zero) 220 V introduced in apartments.
Never insert fuses, even momentarily, with screwdrivers, nails or other metal objects. If the network has short circuit, then at best such tests will blow the following fuses and instead of one group (apartment) the lights will go out in all groups (apartments). But it can end even worse - the blinding light of the electric arc will burn your eyes.
Before changing the fuses in a household appliance, radio, TV, the plug must be disconnected. Do not replace fuses while live.
