How does the dimmer work?

A dimmer is an invaluable helper in saving energy, extending the life of your light bulbs and creating a cozy, comfortable environment. It is these dimmers that are the most optimal tool in the development of lighting design for rooms, as they have quite wide integration possibilities and additional functions. The digital-analog dimmer, as a combination of the first two types of dimmers, is a very flexible device that can work either as an analog or as a digital device, depending on one or the other control signal.

The dimmer can be used both to easily adjust the operation of an individual lighting fixture and to create groups of lighting fixtures. In this case, you get the opportunity to turn on and change the intensity of the glow of several lighting fixtures with one click. This function is very convenient if the room has separate upper and lower lighting. In this case, one dimmer will be responsible for the overhead lighting, the second for all floor lamps, sconces and table lamps. Such groups can be created not only within one room, but also throughout the apartment.

It is possible to connect a dimmer together with a motion sensor, this pairing allows you to increase comfort and realize the possibility of «day» and «night» lighting modes.

The same function allows you to create a light accent on a certain piece of furniture, design features or artwork. We can say that thanks to the invention of the dimmer, a new direction in design has appeared — lighting design that uses light to create completely unique effects within the same room.
