The logger of crane parameters, built into the load limiter, if necessary, allows you to get a detailed information card that indicates the brand and serial number of the limiter, the date of its installation on the crane, the distribution of duty cycles by degree of load on the crane , the number and exact timing of unacceptable overloads, as well as other information of interest to crane owners and regulatory authorities.

In order to read information from recording devices about the operating parameters of cranes, manufacturers of safety devices produce special devices. For example, information from the ONK-160 device can be read using the STI-3 device through an infrared port. STI-3 is connected to a personal computer using a traditional USB interface cable, and the information from this device is processed using a special software program that works under any operating system of the Windows family.

Information from parameter recorders can be read and processed only by specialists duly certified by a commission with the participation of an inspector from Rostechnadzor. And the transfer of information to the reader must be carried out in the presence of another commission, which necessarily includes a person responsible for the safe operation of lifting equipment, as well as the person responsible for the good condition of lifting mechanisms in the enterprise.

Reading information from the parameter recorder can be carried out not only in the event of an accident of the lifting machine. Often, a detailed information card is attached to the quarterly maintenance act of the crane safety devices and is included in the passport. lifting mechanism.
