Many parents fear when the child reaches the "age of questions". According to psychologists, it is at this age that the unconscious desire to know the world begins to acquire the color of consciousness. It is very important during this period to show the child how to handle electricity. What is worth doing and what is too soon. Of course, you won't take your child to the garage to teach him about diesel generators and how to operate them. And it will come to the generators. Everything has its time.
First, the child must explain what electric current is. This is best done using the example of bees. That is, the bees run along the wires, which are constantly working. And if you (the child) interfere with them, they will sting you. As an example, draw a picture with your child to illustrate this principle. After that, the girl will remember for a long time that it is better not to offend the bees in the wires. And if your child is a boy, he will probably have the opposite reaction: he decides to annoy those bees and look at diesel generators. So let's help the little discoverer with this!

The following experiment should be carried out under the constant supervision of an adult (ideally, if it is a father, because it is the father who enjoys the greatest authority with the boy!). For starters, you can show how weak bees sting. To do this, take a 9-volt corona battery and attach it to your tongue. You will feel a slight burning sensation. Invite your son to "try out" these electric bees. He will surely like it. Just be sure to tell him that if he tries to do the same thing without a battery, the bees will get angry and sting very painfully. Again, this can be demonstrated.
Take a 12-volt light bulb and plug it into an outlet. Naturally, it will immediately burn and black spots will remain on the glass. Explain to your child that these are runaway bees and that they are angry that we are forcing them to do such useless work. After what he saw, the child will not want to "play with electric fire", but will try not to anger the bees.
