Why, despite the higher price, compared to models that use gas, gasoline or diesel fuel, are electric trucks in growing demand? Let's try to answer these questions.
As a rule, the equipment for the warehouse is selected taking into account the specific types of cargo and the characteristics of the warehouse. The supplier and the customer analyze all the characteristics of the premises where the warehouse will be located.The calculations take into account the dimensions of the racks, the width of the aisles, the condition of the floor surface, the greatest slope of the surface, the weight of the transported goods and many other factors. Based on these conditions, they determine the type of loader that is most suitable for a given room — electric, gasoline, diesel or gas, intermittent or continuous operation, etc.
There are many more restrictions on loading equipment in closed warehouses than in open areas. So in rooms with poor ventilation, the use of gasoline and diesel forklifts is prohibited. You cannot use this technique in drug, food, cosmetic, and explosives warehouses. Therefore, the choice of equipment for closed warehouses falls mainly on electric forklifts.
Some models of electric forklifts are equipped with energy-saving devices. When turning, the power to the inboard motor is automatically turned off and only the drive wheel, which drives the outboard electric motor, operates. When driving on wet and slippery surfaces, these savings can play a cruel joke on the forklift and cause the wheel to slip. The AC motors fitted to modern electric forklifts are very reliable, durable and maintenance-free. The engine of the machine is designed to work in different power modes, which allows you to set the performance for each specific type of work, as well as to optimize energy consumption. During braking and reversing of the lift truck, the electronic control system returns up to a third of the energy back to the battery, significantly extending the life of the power source.
