Prefab cameras of one-way service KSO

Among the distribution cabinets, KSO cameras stand out. Prefab chambers with single service, or simply KSO, are used today in switchgear installations of all complexity. The main difference between KSO chambers and open switchgear: the busbars are placed openly on the top of the chamber.

In standard KSO cameras, equipment is installed only permanently. As a rule, KSO cabinets have a simpler configuration, and a typical set of cabinets contains a significant number of modules with load break switches and fuses.

KSO cameras are used in urban power supply systems, in rural distribution networks, for temporary power supply of construction sites, as well as for the installation of substations with simple main connection schemes and low short-circuit currents (up to 20 kA).

The one-way service allows you to place the KSO directly against the wall or the back walls to each other, which saves space (important in conditions of high density of urban development). A large number of electrotechnical enterprises are engaged in the production of CSR in the post-Soviet space.

Currently, 3 series of cabinets are produced (serial number — 1st digit after KSO) in different modifications. The letter designations of the brands are also used to indicate the series: "Iva", "Cedar", "Onega", etc. In this case, the serial number should be considered as a trademark name, since it does not reflect all the technical characteristics of a particular model.

It is considered one of the most common KSO series 298… This switchgear has a voltage of 6 to 10 kV, its main function is to receive and distribute electricity through an arc extinguishing reactor. In addition, KSO 10 kV can be supplied distribution devices series such as 398, 399, 200, 202, 204, 205, etc.

One-way service cameras are most often installed in partially or fully enclosed metal boxes.

The industries where these unidirectional switchgears are used are as follows:

  • oil industry (oil and gas processing stations, drilling platforms, oil pipelines);
  • electrical transformer substations, urban networks (various electrical installations) — in large cities, for example, CSR is used for subway lighting;
  • Agriculture;
  • rail and water transport.

Low voltage KSOs have gray panels marked SCHO-70-1, SCHO-70-2, SCHO-70-3. Shields are designed to protect power lines from overloading. Thus, cameras equipped with such devices are protected against short circuits. Gray panels have such properties due to their metal structure, which on the edges has rubbers with electrodynamic resistance to various types of overloads occurring in the network.

The standard configuration of one-way service chambers is as follows: oil and vacuum switches, disconnectors, manual load switches, earthing devices, fuses, voltage limiters and other miscellaneous electrical equipment. At the customer's request, the factory configuration of the cameras can be supplemented. However, everything will depend on the scheme of auxiliary circuits and connections.

Block transformer substations equipped with one-way service cameras are distinguished by a high degree of operational efficiency and operational reliability. KSO cameras are designed precisely for such switchgears, where it is enough with a frequent change of switching operations.

The cameras are ideal for handling these loads, ensuring that transformer substations and other switchgear operate smoothly. Today it is possible to carry out the collection of KSO cameras and to order. The design of their KSO collection cameras is arranged in such a way that it excludes the simultaneous execution of two operations. In this way, the safety of the entire switchgear as a whole is increased, however complex it may be.

One of the latest developments is the model KSO-1-BEMN "Bellektromontazhnaladka"… The new development will increase the execution time of distribution networks due to greater mechanical and switching resistance to wear and tear, as well as reduce their failure. The KSO-1-BEMN cameras can be installed in 6 (10) kV networks with an isolated neutral grounded through an arc extinguishing reactor or resistor.

The main feature of this design is the use of automatically operated vacuum load breakers.This allows, in combination with telemechanical devices, to remotely perform switching and fault location in automatic mode. Using overhead cameras can reduce power outages and reduce related damage.
