Six rules of wiring

The first rule. The installation of the electrical wiring of the apartment consists in the fact that it must be done immediately and completely. The principle "today we will do it in the living room, and after the salary - in the bedroom and the corridor" is inappropriate here. If you change the wires in parts or simply rearrange the contacts and switches, replacing the electrical wiring, you will get a large number of connections, extensions and twists tightly hidden in the walls. Meanwhile, any substandard relationship is prime candidate for failure. In addition, aluminum wiring does not like to be disturbed — when it is bent, microcracks appear, which, as the wiring ages, will still show. As a result, the walls will have to be reopened soon.

Second rule replacement of electrical wires. Take your time until the call electrician it is necessary to prepare a detailed plan for the location of switches, sockets, lamps, sconces, chandeliers.Decide where the washing machine, refrigerator, electric stove or flow heater will stand, and only then install the electrical wiring. These are all very powerful electrical appliances, the wiring to them will have to be laid separately, so it will not be easy to rearrange them later.

Third rule, change the wiring, calculate the consumption. Look at the passport data of electrical appliances according to their energy consumption and add the indicators of those appliances that will be powered from one row. Try to distribute them so that too much power does not hang on one wire - a line should not hold more than 4-5 kW.

The fourth rule of electrical wiring, do not skimp. The worse the little things turn out to be—sockets, switches, junction boxes, conduits for wires—the more dangerous it will be to live in an apartment. Of course, if you don't make the mansions cooler than the Kremlin cameras, there is no point in buying "designer" items at a clearly inflated price. The main thing in this business is reliability, so it is better to focus on the "middle class" of witches - not Chinese consumer goods, but also not gilded objects "for the rich".

Fifth rule - replacement of electrical wiring is carried out after remodeling, but before plastering and painting. The laying of electrical wires from the panel in the corridor is brought into the apartment and along a pre-marked route and laid along the walls. Wiring must be in conduits — smooth or corrugated. But you need to understand that it is very difficult to change the electrical wiring in the corrugated pipe later, if something happens - you will most likely have to open the walls. Junction boxes are fitted to the cable connections for easy access to the connections. The boxes are closed with plastic lids and then go under the wallpaper, becoming almost invisible. If at some point you need access to the wires in the box, the wallpaper can be carefully cut away and the paint can be replaced.

Sixth rule - think about the future. Make sure the wiring is as simple as possible the moment they start to get old. The life expectancy of aluminum wiring is 20-30 years, copper - longer, but the need to install wiring may arise earlier, for example, if the wiring is accidentally damaged.
