Nylon T-type connectors with piercing are special electrical products that greatly facilitate electrical work. These small connectors simply cut their contacts into the main wire from which you need to make a branch, while the point of contact of the branch with the main wire is immediately automatically isolated by the nylon body of the connector.

The connector contact is made of L63 brass, coated with electrolytic tin, which provides a high-quality connection and reliable conductive contact without the need to clean or otherwise process.

You don't need to cut the insulation off the wire and you don't need to solder anything; all you have to do is click the faucet cover and the connection will be perfectly insulated in no time. Of course, you will need to tighten the connector with pliers, it will not be easy to do it by hand, especially when it comes to large volumes of electrical work.

How does the editing process work? Everything is elementary: the body of the connector fits into the circumference of the main wire, while the brass contact pierces the insulation and rests tightly, cutting a little, in the stranded wire (as noted above, it is very convenient to use pliers during installation , then everything will turn out quickly and efficiently).

In the future, diffusion processes between the copper conductors of the main conductor (to which the connection is made) and the contact plate of the connector will lead to their better connection with the efficiency of cold welding.

The nylon body of the product itself will contribute to maintaining a tight and reliable contact, which not only isolates the junction, but also mechanically protects it from external influences in the future. As you already understood, connections with these taps are possible only to stranded copper wires.

The clutch body material is nylon 6.6, halogen free. Nylon is not used here by accident (and it could be PVC). It has an amazing combination of properties: high strength, heat resistance, elasticity and resistance to many chemicals. Due to its special physical properties, nylon is not for nothing classified in the category of polymers known as «engineering thermoplastics».

The branch is directly connected to the connector fixed on the main wire on the side, perpendicular to the wire, using a plug.

This approach makes the connection detachable, more flexible in terms of configuring and upgrading the circuit, because if necessary, you can disconnect the branch and connect another wire to the wire.Agree, it's better than if the wire is soldered tightly, no matter how much trouble it will cause disassembly ... And here you just disconnect the plug — and you're done.

Taps are suitable for wires with a cross section from 0.25 to 6 mm2, they can withstand voltages up to 400 volts and can function normally in the temperature range from -40 to + 105 ° C. With all its advantages and ease of installation , T-taps of the breakthrough type are not expensive at all.

Taps for wires of different diameters are marked with the corresponding color (see the table), so during the installation process you can easily and quickly find the element for the necessary wire.

The branch itself must be pre-equipped with an insulated male connector of standard size 6.3 * 0.8 mm. These plugs are sold separately as they are more versatile. Plug connections are reliable and convenient for subsequent circuit configuration.
