Electrical installation in a one-room apartment with calculation of the price of materials and work

In this article, using the example of a one-room apartment, a complete layout of the preparation and conduct of the electrical installation with all calculations is given.

To carry out turnkey electrical work, thorough preparation for work.

If you cannot afford the participation of specialized organizations, you can carry out preparation, all calculations and installation yourself. Consider this on a concrete example of electrification of an apartment. Take, for example, a one-room apartment, and we will carry out a detailed calculation of the costs of materials and the work of an electrician. So, we have a 1-room apartment with an area of 30 sq.m. Concrete load-bearing walls, internal partitions are brick, the room is 2.5 m high. A power cable exits the wall at a height of 1.5 m from the floor level. This place will be mount the power shield.

For installation, we need the following electrical appliances and materials: power supply panel with installation of two automatic machines, 3 switches, 1 block switch (2 switches + socket), 3 contacts, 1 socket with grounding pin, 5 fixtures, 1 bell with button, 6 distribution boxes, wire GDP -4.5×2 — 20m and GDP -4.5x3 — 10m.

Due to the fact that there is little space in a one-room apartment, it is recommended to hide the power shield in the wall, for this a niche of a certain size. Next is the installation of the shield, the installation of the wiring in the shield (1 place), the institution of the power cable. After assembling the flap, the walls are grooved for the installation of future electrical wires; drilling highway (14 linear meters) and lowering (falls 4×1.2m = 4.8p.m) strobe in concrete and brick (6 p.m + 4×1.2m = 10.8p.m.) walls. After the closure, at the points of the branches from the main route to the slopes, channels (6 pcs.) are drilled and junction boxes (6 pcs.) are installed. At the bottom for each drop, recesses are also made for the installation of sockets (5 pcs.) and switches (5 pcs.). For the conversation, a through hole is drilled in the wall and with the back side of the wall also closed to the bell button.

A piece of wire with a certain cross-section and insulation for hidden wiring, fits into the channels and is fixed with mounting brackets from the power panel to the junction box. Next is the next segment from the junction box to the box. In each gate, main and downstream, there is a wire of a certain length. The ends of the wires must be left longer than the point of installation with the electrical appliance by approx. by 10 cm. Such ends are convenient for wiring. Then there is the removal of wires from insulation for a bolted connection: 6-8 mm, for twisting: 20-30 mm. After preparation, the ends are inserted into the terminals and tightened in the soldering, the boxes are twisted and insulated. The grooves are sealed with gypsum mortar, contacts and switches are attached to their prepared places, distribution boxes are closed with lids.

According to the average load of a one-room apartment, the cross-section of the wire is taken 4.5 sq. Mm, double vinyl insulation (BVP-4.5x2 and BVP-4.5x3). A three-wire wire will be needed to power the chandeliers and the block switch (socket + 2 switches). The strobes are drilled at a height of 2.3 m from the floor. Calculation of falling strobes - one from the power panel, two for contacts, one for a switch in concrete, one for the bell button. Three for outlets and one for a block switch in a brick partition.

It remains to fix the lamps (5 pcs). And finally: the cumulative length of the wires should be 1.5-2 meters higher than calculated.

After completion of all installation work, the entire assembled electrical circuit is checked for the absence of a short circuit. Only then can the power cable be connected to the installed wiring.
